Our mission is to nurture holistic wellness, mental, physical and emotional - for both humans and horses. Through authentic and transformative interactions, we strive to deepen connections, while honouring the human, horse bond.
Equine Inspired Learning and Wellbeing (EILW) is an innovative approach to experiential learning and personal development. Sharing theraputic, holistic learning experiences with horses that nurture the mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing of both humans and horses. It honours the profound connection between horse and human, offering a unique space for healing, growth, and inner exploration—guided by the presence and wisdom of the herd.
Through ground-based interactions, participants are invited to slow down, listen deeply, and connect with themselves and the world around them. Horses, as sentient beings, offer non-judgemental feedback and powerful opportunities for insight, emotional regulation, and transformation.
Inspired by the natural rhythms and sensitivity of the herd, EILW supports individuals in cultivating mindfulness, building inner awareness, and exploring new ways of being. Sessions are designed to be experiential, trauma-informed, and deeply restorative—creating space for wellbeing, learning, and connection to flourish.

At Herd Life, all of our learning and wellbeing experiences are intentionally non-ridden. This approach reflects our deep respect for horses as sentient beings—free, conscious individuals with their own needs, preferences, and personalities. Our sessions honour their right to autonomy, choice, and meaningful connection, without the expectation of being ridden.
By removing riding from the equation, we create space for a different kind of relationship—one grounded in mutual respect, trust, and freedom. This allows both horses and humans to engage in authentic interactions where each is seen, heard, and valued as they are.
For our participants, non-ridden sessions open up powerful opportunities for personal growth, self-discovery, emotional regulation, and mindfulness. Without the physical act of riding, the focus shifts inward and relationally—toward being present, observing, listening, and connecting on a deeper level.
This is not about doing less with horses; it’s about doing differently. With gentleness and curiosity, we invite participants to explore their own inner landscapes alongside the horses, through shared stillness, movement, expression, and presence in nature.
At Herd Life, we honour freedom.
